Update : 27/04/2012: New Car!

I've bought a new car! (See below for details on the unfortunate fate of my ITR).

Details and photos of the new car to follow. Hint: It's not a Honda. It has a 3.5L V6 and it's RWD.

Despite not having a Honda, I'm planning to keep this website going at least until its current renewal date, then I'll make a decision as to whether I can afford to keep it going.

In the mean time, my time and money will be put towards a website based on my new car. Stay tuned....

Update : New page

I have just added a new page with details on upgrading the front brakes. This will probably be the last new page I add, since I no longer have the car. You're still welcome to email me with questions and I'll help where I can.

If you like the site and would like to see it continue past its current expiry date, please consider donating towards hosting costs using the donation link below.

The brake upgrade page is available here: Prelude calipers, braided brake lines and slotted & dimpled rotors

Update : Wednesday 11/04/2012: No More Type R

On my way home from work a truck failed to give way by pulling out in front of me, leaving me with nowhere to go. The result is what you can see in the picture below.

Unfortunately the repair cost was almost the same as the value of the car so it was written off by my insurer.

On March 26 I had a fantastic day at the annual NZHondas.com track day. The car performed flawlessly, which makes it all the more disappointing that it has been written off.

On the plus side I have my insurance pay-out in hand and I'm on the look out for a new car. Stay tuned.

Update : New page

I have just added a new page containing a few Honda manuals (DC Integra & B16A) and some of the original Integra Type R sales brochures. Just click on the link below.

Update : NZHondas.com Track Day 2011

I bought some semi-slicks for the track day this year and they made a big difference to traction levels. Check out the in-car video below:

Disaster : Christchurch earthquakes

Feb 2011 : The Type R and I both survived the Christchurch earthquakes, and it has done a remarkable job navigating the damaged and silt-filled roads since then. Fortunately Ruapuna Raceway was undamaged so the 2011 NZHondas.com track day is still on. Stay tuned.

Old Car: XSi Written off

July 2007 : Having owned the XSi 6 years 3 months and 2 days it was time for a new car. After a bit of shopping around I decided on a 1995 Integra Type R.

Unfortunately, the new owner crashed it into a power pole within a month and it was stripped for parts and sold off.

This website has been gradually growing since I started it in early 2002. Originally I was simply documenting modifications and repairs to my car but I decided to publish it when I began to discover others were interested in the information. If you need help or have a how-to relating to Honda B series VTEC engines, or DA or DC2R Integras you can
email me
.

While all care is taken to provide correct information, mistakes are occasionally made and I cannot be responsible for any damage that occurs to readers vehicles.
